If you took holiday during the holiday year, from 1 October after the end of the holiday year you can claim uncollected holiday allowance for up to three years. You claim your holiday allowance by contacting the holiday fund to which your holiday allowance was transferred from your employer.

You must provide documentation that you have taken holiday from

  • your employer at the time of taking holiday
  • your unemployment fund if you received benefit from the fund
  • your place of duty if you took holiday during compulsory military service
  • the local authority social services in other cases.

If your holiday allowance was paid to FerieKonto, you must submit documentation to Arbejdsmarkedets Feriefond, Otto M√łnsteds Gade 5, 1571 Copenhagen V.

If your holiday allowance was not paid to FerieKonto, you must submit documentation to the holiday fund to which your employer transferred your holiday allowance. Contact the employer from which you earned the holiday allowance to get the name of the holiday fund.

If you did not take holiday due to sickness, maternity/paternity leave, staying in a foreign country etc., you must submit documentation to that effect.

This documentation must be from

  • your unemployment fund if you did not have an employer and received unemployment benefits at the time you were prevented from taking holiday
