If you and your spouse wish to file for separation or divorce, you can do so here.
If you are not in agreement, the case may still be started. In both cases, the case is opened by one of you completing and sending the application form.
A fee of DKK 875 is payable for separation and divorce applications (2026). The fee for negotiation of terms is DKK 2,150 (2026).
How to
- Click 'Start'.
- Find the relevant application form and fill it out. Remember to sign at the bottom and to enclose the documents you have ticked in the form.
- Send or hand in the form to the Agency of Family Law.
- Pay the fee. The Agency of Family Law will not commence the processing of any case until the applicable fees have been received. You must pay the fee by bank transfer. You can find the account details on the website of The Agency of Family Law:
