About the app
About the app
In the app, you can:
- View your pregnancy information:
You can view the information recorded during your pregnancy, including your gestational age, due date, examinations, measurements, and health information.
- Receive week-by-week information:
You can enter your due date and receive relevant information week by week. Your due date may be updated, for instance after your first ultrasound scan.
- View your appointments:
You can get an overview of your appointments with your family doctor/general practitioner (GP), midwife and health visitor. You will typically have appointments from the start of your pregnancy until 8 weeks after the birth.
- Find information and advice:
You can explore more than 400 articles and videos about pregnancy, childbirth and life with your newborn.
The app is free of charge and in Danish. It can be downloaded via App Store or Google Play.
If you log into the app using MitID, the Danish eID, you can easily request a digital copy of your pregnancy information.
Go to 'Mere' (More) and select 'Bestil dokumentation' (Request documentation). The app will then then automatically compile the information recorded about you and your pregnancy into a PDF.
The document will be sent to you via Digital Post, so you can read, save or print it at your convenience.
The first page of the document can be used to provide confirmation of your pregnancy to your employer.
If you would like to access your pregnancy information but do not wish to use the app, or are unable to do so, you can contact the Danish Health Data Authority (Sundhedsdatastyrelsen). A copy of your information can be sent to your Digital Post or by regular mail, if you are exempt from Digital Post.
You can also request access to your medical records directly from the healthcare provider where you are receiving or have received treatment, such as a hospital, clinic, or family doctor (GP).
Pregnant women who do not have a Danish CPR number and are therefore unable to obtain MitID will continue using the paper maternity record ('vandrejournal') throughout their pregnancy.
Guide: Order documentation of your pregnancy
Guide: Order documentation of your pregnancy
In the app, you can order documentation of your pregnancy and have it sent to you in Digital Post
- You need the app 'Min Graviditet' on your phone. It is free of charge and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
- You must be logged in to the app with MitID, the Danish eID. Without MitID, the app only shows general information, not your own pregnancy information.
- You need to be able to access Digital Post. For example in the Digital Post app, in Digital Post at lifeindenmark.dk, in e-Boks or in mit.dk.
The guide is divided into steps. Please follow the steps to order the documentation:
- Open app: Open the app 'Min graviditet' on your phone.
- Tap 'Mere' (more) in the bottom navigation bar.
- You see a list of items to choose from. Tap 'Bestil dokumentation' (Order documentation).
- If you have more than one pregnancy registered, you need to select the pregnancy you want documentation for. Next to 'Hent for' (Retrieve for), you can see your due date. Tab the arrow next to the due date so select another pregnancy.
- Tab the bottom 'Bestil dokumentation' (Order documentation).
- The message 'Din dokumentation er på vej' (Your documentation is on its way) appears. This is a confirmation that the documentation has been sent to you in Digital Post. It may take a little while before it is available. Tab 'OK' to close the message.
Log in where you usually read Digital Post, for example in the Digital Post app, in Digital Post on lifeindenmark.dk, in e-Boks.dk or in mit.dk.
- Sender: The message is sent by the Danish Health Data Authority (in Danish: Sundhedsstyrelsen).
- Topic of the message: The massage is called 'Udskrift af graviditetsoplysninger' (Printout if pregnancy information).
Please note, that Digital Post is available in English (you choose language in the menu). However, the letter itself is always in Danish.
The message has 2 parts:
- A letter: Your expected due date is on page 1 of the letter.
- An attachment: This contains all the pregnancy information that is shared between the healthcare professionals regarding your pregnancy.
You can order the documentation again as many times as you need.
If you only need to document your due date, for example to your employer, your trade union, the municipaliy or an insurance company, you only need page 1 of the letter. The due date is in the first paragraph on page 1 of the letter
The attachment contains your pregnancy information, including sensitive health information. Do not share the attachment with your employer.
Save the documentation of your due date
We recommend that you do one of the following, if you want to save only the documentation of your due date:
- Take a screenshot in the app: The due date is visible on the front page in the app as 'Terminsdato' (Danish for due date), together with the gestational week and trimester. If the recipient only needs to know the due date, a screenshot from here is often enough.
- Take a screenshot of page 1 of the letter: Take a screenshot of page 1, where the due date appears.
- Save or print page 1 of the letter only: Open the letter in Digital Post, preferably on a computer, and choose 'Print'. Specify that you only want to print page 1. If you choose 'Save as PDF' instead of a printer, you get a new PDF containing only page 1.
If you do not wish to use the app, you can instead ask for a copy of your pregnancy information from the Danish Health Data Authority (Sundhedsdatastyrelsen) or from the hospital, midwife or family doctor (GP) who follows your pregnancy.
