Certificate of Personal Data

The Certificate of Personal Data is a certificate confirming any civil information at the time of issue (for instance birth, name and parents) registered on you as a citizen in the personal register and in the CPR (Det Centrale Personregister).

You can apply for a Certificate of Personal Data on yourself and your child under the age of 18 years.

You are entitled to apply for a Certificate of Personal Data if you are:

• Born in Denmark
• Registered in Denmark by international foreign adoption

In addition, you can apply for a certificate if your personal data was registered in the Personal Register, for instance if you changed your name in Denmark after of 1 April 2006.

In order to apply for a certificate digitally you must have a Danish CPR number and MitID.

You can apply for the certificate in Danish and English.
