You can carry out the following registrations at ICS South:

• EU residence document – only applicable for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
• CPR number – civil registration number – and health insurance card, if you live in one of the municipalities stated below 

Other ICS services

• Tax card – apply online. You do not need to have received a CPR number first
• Job search guidance – the service is provided online

A CPR number can be issued at ICS South if you are a resident in: 

the municipality of Odense, Fanø, Fredericia, Kerteminde, Kolding, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Svendborg, Vejle or Ærø.

Residents in other municipalities should apply for a CPR number at the local Citizen Service. The Citizen Service is called Borgerservice in Danish. Please check the municipality website for addresses and opening hours. 

A MitID can also be issued at ICS South if you are resident in:

Odense, Fanø, Fredericia, Kerteminde, Kolding, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Svendborg, Sønderborg, Vejle, Ærø.

When you apply for your CPR number, please ask to have a MitID issued.

If you live in one of the following municipalities, you can register at ICS South: Odense, Fanø, Fredericia, Kerteminde, Kolding, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Svendborg, Vejle or Ærø.

In order to be registered you need to book an online appointment with Citizen Service in Odense:

• Make an appointment for CPR number - International Citizen Serivice Odense

Follow the instructions given in the confirmation email that you will receive, the address is: Borgerservice, Borgernes Hus, Østre Stationsvej 15, 5000 Odense C.

For your appointment with Citizen Service in Odense, please notice: If you live in Odense it is mandatory to complete the self-service in the above link. If you live in one of the other above mentioned municipalities, you have to fill in a paper form when you attend to Citizen Service.

Things to remember when you apply for a CPR number

A permanent address in Denmark is mandatory in order to be able to apply for a CPR number. The minimum residing period needed for a permanent address at ICS South is 3 months.

Health insurance card

Your health insurance card, also called yellow card, is ordered as a part of the CPR number process. Within 30 days you can expect to receive the card by post. Please make sure to have the correct name on your mailbox otherwise the card will not be delivered to your postal address.

MitID

For citizens in one of the following municipalities: Odense, Fanø, Fredericia, Kerteminde, Kolding, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Svendborg, Sønderborg, Vejle, Ærø. When you apply for your CPR number, you can also ask to have a MitID issued.

MitID is your personal secure login for digital contact with public authorities, for your Digital Post, for netbanking and a wide range of online self-service solutions.

• The filled in entry form – see above
• Your original passport/national ID card + a copy
• Proof of your address in Denmark, for instance rental contract, housing confirmation from landlord + a copy
• Your original marriage certificate, if you are married. Please remember to bring your marriage certificate even if your partner is not accompanying you. Divorce certificate/death certificate if applicable + a copy
• Original birth certificates for accompanying children under 18 years + a copy

Please note: Only marriage certificates and birth certificates regarding your children in English/German/Scandinavian languages are accepted. EU citizens can ask for an international version of their marriage and birth certificates in their home country. Non-EU citizens would need to ask a certified interpreter to translate the documents into Danish or English. Marriage and birth certificates from some countries might need to be apostille certified or legalised.

• Legalisation of foreign documents

Your tax card must be ordered online – as a part of the process, you must upload a legible copy of the following

• Your signed employment contract
• Passport or national ID card – both copy of front and back of card. For individuals residing in Sweden: Please attach a copy of either your passport or your national ID card + civil registration certificate
• Your marriage certificate, if you are married

You can submit your tax card application, when you have less than 60 days until you start working.

The processing time varies, but it usually takes 3 to 6 weeks to process your application.

If you work in Denmark for more than 3 months and you live in one of the following municipalities you can apply for an EU residence document at ICS South: Odense, Fredericia, Faaborg-Midtfyn, Kerteminde, Kolding, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Svendborg, Vejle or Ærø.

You need to book an appointment in advance and must appear in person to submit the application. You will get a booking confirmation with your booking number in your mailbox. Please bring the booking number, when you visit ICS.

At your appointment, you will get the EU registration document processed and the document handed over – provided you have brought all the necessary documents.

Please bring following documents:

• Form OD1. Each family member must fill in form OD1 Application for an EU-residence document – incl. accompanying children

• Newtodenmark.dk: The official portal for foreign nationals who wish to visit, live or work in Denmark

Form OD1 is located in the following path: Frontpage > you want to apply > residence as an EU/EEA citizen > EU residence as a worker > How to apply

• Employment contract or declaration by the Employer: Appendix A in form OD1. Please note, that you must register within one month from the day your employer has signed the employment contract/the declaration by the employer
• Your original passport/ID card with photo
• One passport size photo

If you live in another municipality in the southern part of Denmark that is not stated above, please follow the below link in order to apply for an EU residence document.

You can apply for a CPR number if you have received your EU residence document at the same day at ICS South and you are a resident in the municipality of Odense, Fanø, Fredericia, Kerteminde, Kolding, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Svendborg, Vejle or Ærø.

In order to book an appointment at the Citizen Service in Odense – to obtain a Danish CPR number and health insurance card, please use the Ipad solution at the SIRI office.

Upon arrival at the Citizen Service in Odense please confirm your arrival by following the SMS you received. The address is Borgerservice, Borgernes Hus, Østre Stationsvej 15, 5000 Odense C.

Or you may choose to book an appointment online with the Citizen Service in Odense. Please note that the booking is only valid if you obtain a Danish CPR number on the same day you receive EU residence document.

If you live in another municipality than stated above, you need to apply for a CPR number at the local Citizen Service in your residence municipality. 

You need to book an appointment online with the Citizen Service in Odense before visiting Borgerservice, Borgernes Hus, Østre Stationsvej 15, 5000 Odense C.

• Your work- and residence permit from the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration and one printed copy. Please note, that you must register for the CPR number within 6 months from the date of permit issue and latest 5 days after you have taken over your new address in Denmark

• Proof of your address in Denmark, for instance rental contract, housing confirmation from landlord + a copy
• Your original marriage certificate, if you are married. Please remember to bring your marriage certificate even if your partner is not accompanying you. Divorce certificate/death certificate if applicable + a copy
