Apply for certificate of criminal record (in Danish: Straffeattest)
You can apply for a certificate of your criminal record here. The certificate is available free of charge and will be sent to you within 5 business days.
If you have no criminal record in Denmark, you can apply for the certificate in English, German, French or Spanish. In case you do have previous convictions or entries, you can only receive your certificate of criminal record in Danish.
The criminal record will be sent to you as Digital Post, unless you are exempt, or if you are not registered for Digital Post – in these cases, it will be sent to you as ordinary letter mail.
How to
Please note that the self-service is in Danish.
- Click 'Start'
- Select language for your certificate of criminal record
- Click ‘Bekræft’ (Confirm)
- Click ’Signér med MitID’ (Sign with MitID)
- The order will be sent to the police
- You can also print out the order, as your receipt that it has been sent to the police.
You need MitID to access the self-service. If you do not have MitID, you can send a request to the police via email. Click ‘Start’ for more information.
