It may be helpful to obtain an assessment of your educational qualifications. The assessment can make it easier for a Danish employer to understand your qualifications. It can also show whether you have the level of education required for access to studies in Denmark.

The assessment offered by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science is a brief statement saying what your foreign qualification corresponds to in Denmark: which educational level and, if possible, which field of education. The Agency assesses completed qualifications at all levels.

The assessment is free of charge and normally takes 1 to 2 months from the time you send the application and the required documentation.

The individual educational institution decides whether you meet the specific requirements for admission to a particular study programme, for instance with regard to the level of subjects passed and grade point average.

Please contact a student advisor at the educational institution to enquire about the suitability of your qualification.

You cannot appeal to any other administrative authority against the content of an assessment made by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science. The Agency may choose to conduct a new assessment if you present new information that changes the basis for the assessment.

If your application for admission has been rejected and you want to complain about legal matters, the educational institution must receive your appeal within 2 weeks.
